We repair laptops and desktop computers only. We do not repair mobile phones, tablets or any other handheld devices, games consoles, or carry out micro-soldering and board-level chip repairs. Please do not book these in - we will not be able to help.

Check-up / Diagnostics
Every repair starts with a thorough check-up so the real fault is identified before any work is carried out. This 15-minute appointment is for dropping your computer off; it is normally inspected within 24 hours (by the next working day) and you will be contacted with an explanation and a quotation before any repair begins. Most repairs are completed within 3 to 5 working days, subject to parts. The check-up fee is payable when you drop the device off and is not refundable, whether or not you go ahead with the repair: £40 for laptops, £70 for desktop PCs, £120 for Apple Macs (MacBook, iMac, Mac mini).

Data Recovery Check-up
Data recovery is a two-stage service. Stage 1 - Check-up (£60, paid upfront, non-refundable): we inspect and test the storage device to find out whether the data can be identified and recovered. The check-up fee is payable when you drop the device off and must be paid regardless of whether the recovery is successful or whether you decide to go ahead. Stage 2 - Recovery: once the recoverable data has been measured, we contact you with the total and you decide whether to proceed. No recovery work is carried out without your approval. Recovery fees depend on the amount of data: • £100 for up to 50 GB • £240 for 50 GB to 100 GB • £360 for 100 GB to 200 GB • £460 for 200 GB to 300 GB • £560 for 300 GB to 400 GB • £660 for 400 GB to 500 GB • £760 for 500 GB to 1 TB • £1,000 for 1 TB to 2 TB Important: these prices are estimates. The final cost may vary depending on the methods and tools needed to recover your data, and we will give you an accurate price after the check-up. Please stop using the device now: do not reinstall Windows, format the drive, run CHKDSK or install recovery software.

DC Power Jack Repair
A faulty DC power jack is often the reason a laptop will not charge unless the cable is wiggled or held at a specific angle. The repair process typically involves either replacing a plug-in modular port or desoldering and resoldering a new socket onto the motherboard. Depending on the laptop's make and model, the minimum repair cost is £70. If any additional damage caused by the faulty jack is identified, the cost may increase. In such cases, you will be notified for approval before any further work commences. 15 minutes is for dropping your device off, not for the work itself.

Laptop Maintenance
This service is designed to restore your laptop's cooling performance, reliability and overall health. The maintenance includes a full internal strip-down, thorough removal of dust and debris, cleaning of the cooling system, replacement of the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, inspection of cooling fans, and reassembly with comprehensive testing to ensure everything is operating correctly. During the maintenance process, all major internal components will also be visually inspected for signs of wear, overheating, liquid damage or hardware failure. If any faulty or damaged parts are discovered that require replacement or additional repair, no extra work will be carried out without your approval first. You will be contacted with a full explanation of the issue, the recommended solution and a fixed quotation before any additional charges are incurred. Please note that the maintenance service covers cleaning and thermal servicing only. PC Maintenance
This service is designed to restore your PC's cooling performance, stability and overall reliability. The maintenance includes a full internal clean, removal of dust and debris, cleaning of all case fans, CPU cooler, heatsinks and filters, replacement of the CPU thermal paste, inspection of cable management, motherboard, memory, storage drives and power supply, followed by comprehensive testing to ensure the system is operating correctly after servicing. Please note: This service does not include graphics card (GPU) servicing. GPU maintenance requires complete disassembly of the graphics card, replacement of thermal paste and thermal pads, and careful reassembly. Due to the delicate nature of this work, it is offered as a separate service (£120). During the maintenance process, all major hardware components will be inspected for signs of wear, overheating or potential hardware failure. If any faults are discovered that require replacement parts or additional repair work, no extra work will be carried out without your approval first. You will be contacted with a full explanation of the findings, the recommended solution and a fixed quotation before any additional charges are incurred. Please note that this service covers maintenance and preventative cleaning only. Apple MacBook Maintenance
This service is designed to restore your Apple MacBook's cooling performance, reliability and overall health. The maintenance includes a complete internal clean, removal of dust and debris, cleaning of the cooling system, replacement of the CPU thermal paste (and GPU thermal paste where applicable on Intel models with dedicated graphics), inspection of the cooling fans, battery condition check, and comprehensive testing to ensure the MacBook is operating correctly after servicing. During the maintenance process, all major internal components, including the logic board, storage, battery, cooling system, display connectors and charging circuitry, will be visually inspected for signs of wear, overheating, liquid damage, corrosion or hardware failure. If any faults are discovered that require replacement parts or additional repair work, no extra work will be carried out without your approval first. You will be contacted with a full explanation of the findings, the recommended solution and a fixed quotation before any additional charges are incurred. Please note that this service covers preventative maintenance and cleaning only. The cost of replacement parts, liquid damage repairs, logic board repairs, display repairs, battery replacement, or any additional repair work is not included and will be quoted separately if required. Graphics Card (GPU) Maintenance
This service is designed to restore your graphics card's cooling performance and help maintain stable operating temperatures under load. The maintenance includes complete disassembly of the graphics card, thorough removal of dust and debris, cleaning of the heatsink and cooling fans, replacement of the GPU thermal paste, replacement of all thermal pads with high-quality equivalents where required, careful reassembly, and comprehensive testing to verify correct operation and temperatures. This service is available for air-cooled graphics cards only. Graphics cards fitted with liquid cooling systems (AIO or custom water-cooling loops) are not accepted for maintenance due to the specialist equipment, additional risks and complexity involved. During the maintenance process, the PCB, cooling system, fan bearings, connectors and surrounding components will be inspected for signs of overheating, physical damage or component failure. If any faults are discovered that require replacement parts or additional repair work, no extra work will be carried out without your approval first. You will be contacted with a full explanation of the findings, the recommended solution and a fixed quotation before any additional charges are incurred. Please note that this service covers preventative maintenance only. The cost of replacement fans, damaged components, PCB repairs, or any additional repair work is not included and will be quoted separately if required. PC build / Case migration
Professionally transfer your existing computer components into a new PC case or rebuild your system using your supplied hardware. This service includes complete disassembly, careful installation of all compatible components, cable management, hardware inspection, and testing to ensure the system is operating correctly after the migration. The minimum charge for this service is £160 and covers a standard case migration or PC rebuild. If, during the process, any additional work is required (such as replacing faulty components, BIOS updates, installing additional hardware, replacing thermal paste, resolving compatibility issues, or any other repairs), these will be quoted separately. No additional work will be carried out without your approval first. Please note that any replacement parts required are not included in the service price and will be charged separately. This service does not include data recovery or software troubleshooting unless specifically agreed beforehand. 15 minutes is for dropping your device & components off, not for the work itself.
